An e-mail, dated 23 May 2000

Hello,

How are you? I'm in an e-mail shop in a town called Nakuru just north west of Nairobi. It's really cool to be online again. We've just finished the safari and are heading for the orientation course at Lake Naivasha. We started the safari with two nights in Amboseli National Park, which isn't very far from Mount Kilimanjaro, and saw loads of elephants. There were also giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, gazelles, impala, hyenas, lions and buffalo. Then we spent three nights in the Masai Mara, and saw more lions, including a family with cubs munching their way through a wildebeest. We also saw some cheetahs, one of which was having it's dinner. There were lots of hippos and some crocodiles too. At the last place, Lake Nakuru, we saw lots of flamingos, and some rhinos. It was really good. Everyone is really nice, and it's great getting to know people. There is going to be quite a few of us in Iganga, which will be nice.

I have to go because the bus leaves soon, I'll write a letter when I find a shop which sells paper. Take care,

lots of love,

MiLLa
