The Class Of '99: Where Are They Now?

Have you ever wondered what all your former classmates have been doing for the last twelve months? Have you ever wondered what YOU'VE been up to? Never fear, for I still have no life whatsoever and has therefore gone to the trouble of making this page to reveal Michael's more sensitive side, Ed's secret past and where Ben's real interests lie . . .

But I suppose we'd better start off with That Certain Thing Called The Bagot. No, don't say "awwwww", he's only at the top of the list because it's in alphabetical order of surname. Besides, it's clear that he *still* fancies Alice (sniffle) because he's become a member of the Australian Integrative Medicine Association in the Victoria District. Apart from end of the world theories, his special interests are nutritional medicine, herbal medicine and manipulative therapies. Manipulative? I'm worried now . . .

Graham Bauer seems to be after Alice too, since he's now a project officer for web design for the Department of Natural Resources in Queensland. However, the years at Fairies have not been in vain. At this site he says, "I'm an Australian in my forties and married with three boys. I have been a Christian since 1976 and have been actively involved in serving my Lord Jesus through pastoring, teaching and nurturing. The Lord has had me do a lot of different ministries in the church and He is still not done. Now He uses me on the Internet." Oo-er Missus!

Not just a pretty face, Liz Buck has become a Maths professor at Northern Illinois University. She's also had a bit of a makeover, by the looks of things. She's still got that frown, though!

Sarah Bulman has become a development worker for Devon County Council's Lifelong Learning Department Family Education Programme. While we're on the subject, Matthew Claxton is now a reporter for The Vancouver Sun, writing articles with fascinating titles like Airport experiencing hike in traffic plus boom in building.

Wondering why you haven't seen Helen Gilligan lately? Bad news, I'm afraid. Even though her car spends vast amounts of time parked outside the Oakley Jenner residence, after a stint as an assistant administrator for the Galway Rural Development Company she moved to Port Townsend, Jefferson County, and died at the age of 86 on October 5th 1999 at Kah Tai Care Center.

Father Middleton would be proud of John Grayston. As well as working as a lawyer in Brussels, he is Director of Bible Ministries in the England and Wales Scripture Union's leadership team.

All the news of Carlos Grimaldi I could find was in Spanish. He's obviously fled the country. Shohei and Herman have done likewise.

Poor old James Halbert. After achieving his goal of becoming a farmer, at the age of eighteen, he joined the 10th West Virginia Infantry, only to be killed in action on 7th July 1964 and was buried in Sharpsburg, MD.

You thought Michael Hart was a right waster, didn't you? Think again! Since leaving school, he has set up a homepage containing some recent pictures, written an article on Astrophotography Techniques, established a web site design and consulting business and acquired his own domain which promotes his healing music!

Neither Martin Haydock nor Paul Jermin seem to have done anything of note. Tut tut. Alice Holmes, however, it turns out has been concealing her secret past as a blind nineteenth century poet.

Craig Johnstone has achieved the highest accolodate thus far by joining the U.S. Chamber as Senior Vice President. Terry, meanwhile, has emigrated to Colorado as a progressive rock musician.

Richard Mitchell has moved into US Government as well, as a Democrat senator for Florida. He's a painter too!

Emma Mountain continues to be an animal lover. (In the most innocent sense of the term, of course.) She now holds the post of secretary for the Hobie Cat Association Of Victoria.

Michael Morris and Chris Neill have pursued academic routes as professor of psychology at the University of Newhaven and Assistant Scientist at the ecosystems centre at the Marine Biological Laboratory.

Representing Nottinghamshire, Thomas Nightingale came 180th in the Under 13 Boys 1999 Reebok CAU Inter-County Cross Country Championships in 12 minutes and 18 seconds.

Sarah Nuttall is now an English lecturer at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. She has written three books and numerous articles.

We always knew Edward Ritchie was hiding something. Well, it turns out he was actually the most innovative American instrument maker of the nineteenth century.

These days, Iain Robison writes Neurophysiology articles for the National Institute for Medical Research. He also runs a Serene Reflection Meditation Group in Preston and came third in the twelve year old boys 100m backstroke in a swimming competition.

David Routledge is now a Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University Of Alberta, Canada. I always knew there was something going on between him and Camilla . . . Hey, he's grown more hair!

Rohan Shenoy hasn't managed to achieve anything except provide hints for the computer game The Feeble Files".

Sara Siddiqui writes movie reviews.

Damian Smith, however, had an art exhibition in Melbourne and in his spare time, is a rugby player for Queensland. I don't know, all these Alice admirers . . .

Lesley Ann Smith has obviously made a concerted effort to not let her name get onto the Internet. Natalie, however, has become renouned in quite the wrong cyber circles by becoming a porn star! No, I'm not going to provide any pictures! And you aren't to follow that link unless you're over the age of ninety and accompanied by both parents. Oh, and someone called Paul is looking for her. Not surprised!

Mark Stephens an Experimental Officer for the University of Manchester whatever one of those is.

Camilla Thomson has recently abandoned horses and turned her attention to gymnastics representing Cumbernauld as an under thirteen.

Weirdly enough, William Vasey and all his family are still farmers although they've moved to Nebraska.

Me? Oh, I just work for the Higher Education Funding Council For England. Higher education . . . no wonder I got straight 'A's, eh?

Joanne Watson works at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital as a research registrar and does caffeine study. I thought all workers did that, but aaaaaanyway, if I could give you one link on this page to visit, this next one would be it:

Not only is Ben Weber a Major League Baseball Player but he has written an article called How To Survive A Sex Scene!!!!!

Helen Willis works at a bakery. Andrew Wong maintains my favourite page so far, one which contains a guide to The Young Ones. Marion is a volunteer at Galbraith House Victorian Bed And Breakfast. Bet she never turns up though.

Katie Wood writes articles. As well as not straying too far from her native Scotland she has obviously spent her time in Australia collecting knowledge on the legalisation of brothels.

And last but by no means least, Helen Workman is Director of Learning Resources & University Librarian at Oxford Brookes University.

Whoever bothers to reads the back of next year's Speech Day programme is in for a shock . . .
